The Bay Area Argentine Tango Association was founded in 1992. It is the oldest largest group to promote the art of Argentine Tango on the West Coast.
Today, the Association works with a community of over 600 tangueros as a central clearing house. BATango’s focus is on providing education through scholarships, workshops, along with assisting in bringing dancers and musicians from Argentina to teach and perform.
In order to better serve the Argentine Tango Community BATango set up an education foundation. These funds are used to assist our dancers and promote tango. Your support is greatly appreciated.
In addition to membership fees, we can always use volunteer labor. We need help with our, web site, events list, and membership processes.
Board of Director's meetings are open to everyone. They are on the 2nd Sunday of each month, alternating between SF and the East Bay. Please contact us for the location and time.
