The spirit of crossing borders followed Astor Piazzolla throughout his
whole life, and he created a synthesis between the traditional danced
tango of Argentina and influences from classical music and jazz in his
compositions, his so-called "Tango Nuevo". Come join us in an
exploration of how the classical world came into Piazzolla's own, and
the incredible influence his music had on composers as far flung as
Russia and Georgia.
