Gary & Lisette Teach New 6-Week Classes

Exciting new steps and technique work for Spring! Gary & Lisette offer new
classes for every level of dancer, from absolute beginners to advanced
students. Learn everything from fundamentals to polished social dancing to
exciting new moves in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Nirmala's studio.
The fabulous Lisette Perelle is teaching this six weeks while Nirmala
recovers from an injured foot.

Classes fill up fast, so please respond quickly!

I. Fundamentals of Tango

For beginners and dancers of all levels who want to perfect the basics. How
to lead and follow. Walking, ochos and simple turns.

Six Wednesday Nights: FEB. 27, MAR. 5, 12, 19, 26, APR. 2

7:00-8:00, guided practice 8:00-8:30

II. Intermediate 1: Intro to Complex Tango Turns

These are the turns used over and over in tango. Learn to start them from
any step in both cross and parallel systems, and finish them elegantly.
Challenging but essential for leaders to lead and for followers to master
footwork and embellishments.

8:30-9:30, guided practice 9:30-10:00

III. High Intermediate: Intro to Volcadas

These are the falling, swooping, and sweeping steps that make women look
beautiful and men look cool! Master the techniques for using them in social
dance.

8:30-9:30, guided practice 9:30-10:00

IV. Advanced: Back Sacadas & Soltadas

Back sacadas for followers as well as leaders. The ?impossible? back
sacadas. Intro to soltadas. Work on extreme pivots needed for these moves.

7:00-8:00, guided practice 8:00-8:30

These are small classes with balanced numbers of leaders and followers. We
ask everyone to commit to attending every class because the absence of one
person slows the progress of everybody.

Don't forget to join us at the Monte Cristo Club Milonga every Friday except
the last Friday of each month. Gary & Nirmala host a beginning class at 7:00
pm and an intermediate class at 8:00 pm, followed by dancing from 9:00 to
midnight.
