*BIO: Juan Manuel Suarez has danced for over 40 years (and is a younger
member of the old guard milongueros). He began in the neighborhood club in
his town of Tablada, in the provinces of Buenos Aires, where the famous
Virulazo was a frequent visitor and an inspiration to the local boys. Over
time, Juan Manuel began dancing in the Center of Buenos Aires and in Urquiza
and other neighborhoods, careful to observe the distinct styles. He
developed his own particular style characterized by flowing movements that
do not sacrifice rhythm, such as promenade walks punctuated with changes of
direction, front ochos and hesitation steps.*
