ROBERT HAUK
one of the most prominent and highly regarded tango teachers, dancers
and DJ's in North America, will be teaching a series of six
progressive WORKSHOPS in milonguero/close embrace style in Mountain
View & Palo Alto May 24-28, 2008.

The focus in all of these workshops will be on the body mechanics of
the movements. Tango is walking, and all of the situations
encountered in figures are also walking. By studying walking in many
situations dancers can discover the principles of many families of
figures. Rather than learning canned figures, Robert Hauk will teach
students to construct figures in the moment, leading to greater
freedom on the dance floor, both for navigation and improvisation.
