OMAR VEGA, a teacher of teachers, has been one of the strongest creative forces in the tango revival in Buenos Aires. His style is based on the Buenos Aires traditions of dancing figures that fit the space,
and interpreting the music improvisationally. He is internationally famous for his extremely rhythmic style of dancing tango and milonga traspie.
Omar has been dancing and teaching tango since the 1980s. He studied with the masters and old milonguerosin Buenos Aires. His major influence was the late Tango maestro, Pepito Avellaneda.
